Acivity of Consciousness

17 Sep

I often have daydreams that don’t let me concéntrate how I would like to. It’s a great opportunity to take some time to reflect and notice that I´m able to concéntrate in my personal things if I let my problems on a side. By recognizing what my problems are, I’m able to stop and analyze if my actions are wrong or right. It´s really important to take some time and stop doing things that are not right. Even when I´m doing things I like, I see myself still worried for some of my problems. There’s a quote that’s stucked on my mind, which is true, OVERTHINKING KILLS. I have learned through time that if someone keeps on thinking what is wrong and you overreact to some things, you’ll start creating things on your mind that may not be happening and just because you are thinking about it, you change your mood, you have bad attitudes, and most important, you don’t enjoy the present because of things that may not happen. It’s really important to point out that I learned that because one day I had a problema and kept on thinking about it and just because I was overthinking, my mood changed, my attitudes were bad, and I was in such a mood, that I couldn’t even stand myself.

I often had trouble with math and physics and one day, I understood that it was because I wasn¿’t able to concéntrate.

A problem in my life

8 Sep

During my years as a school student, I have been always a good student. My average has always been above 90. But on 11th grade I had trouble with math. On the first two semesters I almost failed and my average was affected. I recognized it was a problems for me so I needed a solution so that my average wouldn’t be affected by the grade. On the moment I noticed I needed a change I analized all the factors that led me to have this difficulty and I noticed that my place was not helping so I moved to the front, therefore I was going to be able to pay more attention and have better results. Another thing was that I copied the homework so I didn’t had enough practice. So I started doing my own work and the results were obvious. Also, another thing was that I didn’t study for the tests so I began studying. After the first quiz, I noticed that studying, paying attention, and doing my homework was the key to success so that’s how I was able to overcome a big problem in my life.

Is Holden a typical teenager?

1 Sep

Holden is a typical teenager because of his attitudes. He bothers his peers and sometimes he misbehaves. Holden is also a typical teenager because he wants to have a relationship with someone and feel loved. That’s why he’s having dates with this girl and as a usual teen, he gets nervous for the first date. When things went wring, he had a typical teenager action by breaking windows in the garage. He’s sometimes naive and afraid of adults. He is also considering himself dumb, as most children do. “He did’t know anyone at Pencey that was splendid and clear-thinking at all. Maybe two guys. If That many.” He´s afraid and ashamed of other people. When having problems and school and when he got expelled, he was nervous and got kind of depressed like a teenager when he/she has problems in school. So in my conclusion, Holden has many attitudes that turn him out to be a typical teenager.

Transcendentalism

7 Apr

I wanted to live deep and suck out the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartanlike as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if proved to mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meaness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion.

SONG: You don’t get another chance, life is no Nintendo game As long as the wrong feels right it’s like I’m in flight

EXPLANATION:

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not live.

SONG:
What have we’ve done to the world
Look what we’ve done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son…
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine…
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war

EXPLANATION:

These quotes explain how nature takes an important role on our life and how it can influnce in our decitions. With nature by our sides, we can connect to another kind of living organisms. Other living organisms can influence on what we think and observe. Nature is really important in our lives and we dont value nature as we should. The first quote explains that you need to live life however you want to and theres no need to follow the rules.  People tell you to follow you have only one life to live. If you dont do what you want, you would regret later that you didnt take certain challenges.

MY FAVORITE SONG

17 Mar

 White lips, pale face

 Breathing in snowflakes

 Burnt lungs, sour taste

Light’s gone, day’s end

 Struggling to pay rent

Long nights, strange men

 And they say

She’s in the Class A Team

Stuck in her daydream

Been this way since eighteen

 But lately her face seems

Slowly sinking, wasting

Crumbling like pastries

And they scream

The worst things in life come free to us

Cause we’re just under the upper hand

And go mad for a couple grams

And she don’t want to go outside tonight

And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland

Or sells love to another man

 It’s too cold outside

 For angels to fly

Angels to fly

RODERICK AND MADELINE USHER

3 Mar

Roderick and Madeline Usher are really diffent. First, the most obvious difference is that Roderick is a man, he is the head of the house, and Madeline, she is a woman. Both of them have pale skin and they look like ghosts. Roderick is very talkative, while Madeline is really shy, she doesn´t speak one Word throughout the story. Both are mentally ill. At some párt of the story, Roderick says he shares a strong connection with Madeline. They have an important connection with their house, and the house is compared a lot like them, they are weird and look ill and the house is described as scary and that has an odd look. The house has dark walls and that’s a lot like Roderick and Madeline. They are both friends with the narrator.
